The idyllically located mountain tourist resort of Luttach lies at 971m and offers a good selection of shops as well as nice rest points. Thanks to many sports and leisure possibilities has the Ahrntal become a meeting point for young travellers where they get their money's worth in as it is predestined for an adventurous youth holiday surrounded by more than 80 three-thousanders dominating the valley.
Prettau lies at almost 1500m surrounded by an impressive natural landscape in the Ahrntal and is the northern most community in South Tyrol. Far away from mass tourism, but not far from the ski areas Klausberg and Speikboden which are 10km and 20km away respectively.
St Johann is the largest village in the Ahrn Valley and is often simply referred to as Ahrn. Located at 1018m, directly on the southern side of the Ziller Valley Alps with its glacier -capped peaks. Attractive village with plenty of entertainment and facilities. The Speikboden ski area is just 2km away, whereas Klausberg is 8km away. Both ski areas are included on your pass.
Steinhaus is located in the heart of the Ahrntal Valley and is one of the main access points to the Klausberg ski area, part of Skiworld Ahrntal. The traditional South Tyrolean village offers a welcoming atmosphere, stunning alpine scenery and excellent winter sports opportunities. Shops, restaurants and leisure facilities are within easy walking distance, making Steinhaus an ideal destination for school ski trips.
