Pragelato is an attractive village with beautiful wooden and stone buildings away from the hustle and bustle of the neighbouring resort of Sestriere. It has an incredibly inviting, authentic atmosphere with warmth and hospitality and is connected by gondola with Sestriere. The resort was home to the Turin 2006 Winter Olympic Ski jump.

The small village of Borgata is part of the municipality of Sestriere and was originally a rural mountain village that has now become a ski resort, which has kept its lovely and quiet mountain village character.
